Welcome to our Stewart's Farm and Greenhouse website! We thank you for visiting us to find out more about our farm and what we are growing for the 2010 Market Season. We are a small farm in Northern West Virginia located on Route 7 in Pentress.
We have Hay for Sale!
4 x 5 Round Bales that are barn kept right here in Monongalia County! $30.00 each.
Please contact us through our website or call us at 304-879-4006 if interested.
This photo is of our hayfield after last February's Storm, looks good after all our heat and humidity we've had the last few weeks!
We are a member of the Morgantown Farmers' Market Growers Assn. Market at Spruce & Fayette Streets in Morgantown. This market is on Saturday mornings at 8:30 am to Noon.
Please come and support our community market and in turn, you are supporting the small farmers of the Morgantown Area!
Hardy Garden Mums
The Fall Garden season has begun and we have
Mums in all the prettiest colors, red, lilac, coral
purple, white, yellow and they are just ready to burst
open with color!
We have them for sale here at the farm and also at the
Saturday Market in Morgantown. Stop by and
see them along with our Fall Asters!
(Our Mums and Asters are Perennial, they need to be planted
in a sunny site with good soil drainage to have them keep
blooming in your garden for years! In other words they
don't like wet feet. )
What we plan to bring to the Morgantown
Farmers' market on Saturday,
Sept 4, 2010
Fresh Garlic
Siskiyou Purple- A silverskin variety with a
Pungent flavor
Transylvanian- Medium Heat Artichoke Variety
Red Toch- another Medium Heat Artichoke Variety
A Variety I call Paul's HN. It's a hardneck and was given to me by an old friend, I haven't figured out which variety it is yet
but it's a nice looking Garlic bulb!
Garlic Braids
beautiful Fresh Basil Bunches
Fresh Dill, Curly Parsley, Sage, Lemon Balm
& Summer Savory.
Our own hand made Sage Bundles for Smudging!
Smudging actively changes and cleanses negative energy to
create a natural and positive, healing energy and can be used
to enhance the positive energies in your environment. Smudge
sticks are often used in Native American and Celtic traditions,
but can be used personally in your home as well.
Dry Black Beans & Jacob's Cattle Beans
Cherry Tomatoes
Tomatillos
Red Potatoes
Jalapeno & Inferno Hot Peppers
Cut flower Bouquets
Rosemary and Basil Plants
Caladiums
Caladiums are tender perennial bulbs that LOVE
HOT weather! They can be grown in a flower bed
or used as a porch pot. Filtered morning light is best to produce
the large colorful leaves that grow in abundance!
Fall Asters!
We are growing "Days", a pretty blue flower and
"Winston Churchill" which has a deep red flower.
These are a great companion bloomer when used with Mums.
They begin to bloom a few weeks earlier than Mums.
GARDEN MUMS are ready!
Plan to arrive early to have the best stuff available, the market starts at 8:30am and ends at noon.
